Getting to Know the Turtle Power: Meet the Main Characters of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) is a popular franchise that first began as a comic book series in 1984 and has since grown to include various forms of media such as cartoons, movies, video games and toys. The series follows the adventures of four teenage turtles, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello, who were mutated into anthropomorphic turtles and trained in the art of Ninjutsu by their sensei, Master Splinter.

Leonardo, also known as Leo, is the leader of the turtles and the most disciplined of the group. He is a skilled warrior and a natural leader, who is determined to protect his brothers and keep them safe. He is known for his blue mask and wields two swords.

Raphael, also known as Raph, is the hot-headed and impulsive member of the turtles. He is known for his red mask and wields a pair of sai. He is strong, fierce, and has a strong sense of justice. He often acts before thinking and is the one who often starts the fights with the turtles' enemies.

Michelangelo, also known as Mike or Mikey, is the comic relief of the group and is known for his orange mask and wields a pair of nunchucks. He is the most easy-going and carefree of the turtles, he loves pizza and is always looking for fun.

Donatello, also known as Donnie or Don, is the brains of the group and is known for his purple mask and wields a bo staff. He is the inventor of the group, he is responsible for creating and maintaining the turtles' gadgets and weapons.

Master Splinter, is the turtles' sensei, he is a mutated rat and a skilled warrior. He is a wise and compassionate teacher, who has raised and trained the turtles in the art of Ninjutsu. He is also their father figure, who always looks out for the turtles.
